'Top Chef' Stars Share Their Valentine's Day Recipes

Candice Kumai, Carla Hall and Sam Talbot suggest these tasty dishes for February 14.

Valentine's Day is upon us, but instead of flowers or chocolates, why not whip up a tasty meal for your loved one?

How to Watch

Watch Top Chef on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

Thankfully, three former Top Chef competitors are offering up their suggestions, from desserts to seafood.

First up is Carla Hall. The chef suggests baking a Pear-Ginger Tart for your sweetie. "Tarts just scream elegance, and they're no more difficult to make than pie," Carla said of the treat. "I was prepared to use anything that was in season. When I walked into the store, there were three huge displays of pears. I stopped looking after that." One of her favorites: a triple chocolate tart made with chai-infused ganache.

If that's not enough sweets for your sweetie, Candice Kumai has shared her recipe for Blueberry-Lime Jam, which she describes as "deliciously tart and sweet."

"This jam is the perfect treat for a loved one and also on Sunday mornings over toast, mixed into a breakfast #bowl or spread on G-free pancakes!" she noted of the fruity spread.

But if you're looking to take things a little more over the top, Sam Talbot has dreamed up a dish featuring scallops with toasted pasta, Meyer lemon and pomegranate.

"This is a really sexy, really simple, really sleek, easy dish to make for your date," he said. "Sexy sexy, sexy for this Valentine's Day. What a great dish for Valentine's Day, the red just bleeding onto the plate."
