Uma Thurman's Connection to Imposters Runs All the Way Back to Her Teen Years
The #Imposters actress has a lot to say about the show's co-creator, Adam Brooks.
Uma Thurman was basically born to play the role of Lenny Cohen, a tough, take-no-prisoners kind of lady who doesn't let any guy get in her way. Given the cannon of her work in the past, Uma is no stranger to bringing this type of woman to life. But, her ties to the world of Imposters actually go much deeper than just that of her resume. You see, she's known Adam Brooks, who created the show along with Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce star Paul Adelstein, for years.
"Adam Brooks and I and his whole family have been friends really all of my life," she recently told The Daily Dish. "Adam was one of my first, if not well close to the first friend I ever made when I moved to New York as a teenager. I met Adam when I was 17. We've worked together before, mostly we've just been very, very tight friends. So when Adam made the first installment of Imposters and Bravo decided to green light it I had a dinner party for him to show the pilot to his friends and just to celebrate. And that night he suggested that what if he were to write me a part, so he did."
