'Vanderpump' Cast: Before the Show Acting Clips

Music videos, horror movies -- see Stassi, Tom and crew's acting chops!

By Mike Hess

Vanderpump Rules Cast Acting

It's been said many times on Vanderpump Rules that the waitstaff and bartenders that make up SUR are pretty much all just aspiring actors, models and musicians waiting for their big break so they can ditch slinging spring rolls and margaritas and move on to the glitz and glamor of Hollywood. While that may seem like the token aspiration, as it turns out most of the cast have been at it for years -- and we've unearthed their TV/movie/music clips for you to see.

With tonight's big episode of VR  with drink-throwing ridiculousness aplenty, it seemed the perfect time to roll out this string of gems that span years and the entire cast (save for Jax Taylor, who has no acting credits but is a successful model), some big-name appearances and some, well, not-so-much. Oh, and there's a Bon Jovi video centered entirely around Tom Sandoval, who back then was much less forehead-shaving-exfoliating peacock hair and much more grunge. You MUST watch:

Tom Sandoval

Let's cut straight to the chase here. Tom's filmography might be the most extensive of the bunch (and, for our taste, he's got the best IMDB headshot), and because we're not into dragging things out with a major tease, here's that aforementioned Bon Jovi epic, complete with Eddie Vedder-circa-'Alive' hair.

Want something a bit more serious from Tommy boy? Here he is in Behind Your Eyes (which also starred Kristen Doute), in which he and a girlfriend are kidnapped, locked in a basement and forced to do terrible things to each other. In fact, it won the Special Jury Prize at the 2011 Las Vegas Film Festival, so there!

Tom also had a starring role in 23 Minutes to Sunrise, alongside the always underrated Eric Roberts (and, again, Kristen).

Stassi Schroeder

Before Stassi was the Queen Bee of SUR, she was the Queen Bee of, um, Queen Bees -- a reality show that documented what happens when you get a handful of Type-A teen girls and put them together in a house to live, compete and do what dominating personalities do.

Oh, and perhaps we should have mentioned that Stassi was on season 8 of The Amazing Race, where she competed with her family? Look closely when The Schroeder family is shown, because this was back during Stassi's black-hair days.

Kristen Doute

Much like her boyfriend Tom, Kristen has had some starring movie roles, including this one in Blood on Canvas, which took home the Best Feature prize at the 2012 Michigan Film Awards.

And if that's a bit too serious for you, check out Kristen (and Tom... the couple that works together, something something) getting their background dancers on in Lena Mar's music video for the aptly titled "Chance to Dance."

Scheana Marie

Before Brandi Glanville and the tables of SUR, Scheana Marie was putting in some quality time with the Jonas Brothers. Yep, that's right, she was in an episode of JONAS titled "Slice of Life," which you can see for yourself below.

Perhaps in the most ironic clip of the lot, here's a young Scheana doing a video for YoungHollywood.com titled "Deal Breakers," in which she details how famous Hollywood relationships can go sour thanks to five coupledom sins.

Katie Maloney

We can't really tell if Katie is actually in this trailer for the racy and potty-mouthed Cats Dancing on Jupiter, but her IMDB says she's in it and it's all we could find, so hey... watch:

Jax Taylor

Sorry y'all, but like we said, Jax isn't trying to become the next Brad Pitt, as modeling seems to be his forte. In lieu of video clips, click on the photo below to enjoy Jax getting his blue steel on in some of the VR cast's finest modeling shots.
