The Vanderpump Rules Crew Shows Support for Orlando Victims with Go Fund Me Pledge
The #PumpRules SURvers show love after the shooting in Orlando.
Following a shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida that left at nearly 50 people dead and more than 50 injured early Sunday, the women of Vanderpump Rules are showing support for the victims through the Go Fund Me pledge, WeHo Loves Orlando. It was set up to help donate money to the Red Cross in the wake of the tragedy. "In the spirit of LA Pride, we want to raise as much money as possible to donate to the Red Cross and to the families affected by the Orlando tragedy that occurred yesterday," says the mission statement. "Orlando, WeHo loves you and we are with you."
The SURvers also asked their followers to keep the families and victims front of mind.
Just hours after the shooting, Lisa Vanderpump, celebrated L.A. Pride at the city's annual parade in effort to show her support for the LGBT community. Andy Cohen addressed the incident in a touching message on Sunday's Watch What Happens Live, calling the tragic event "yet another incredibly painful night for many Americans." "The Pulse nightclub in Orlando, like other gay clubs, was a place where people went to not just feel like they could freely be themselves but to find community and safety. And to have that freedom shattered by the most deadly mass shooting in our country’s history is unfathomable," he said. "Tonight, our hearts are with the families and friends of those who were killed or injured."
