Everything We Learned About James and Ally’s Relationship in the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Premiere

Tom Sandoval played a huge part in bringing Ally into the DJ's life.

By Shannon Raphael

The Vanderpump Rules crew is officially back, and things are definitely not copacetic in the friend group. After the Season 9 reunion wrapped, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney announced their divorce, and James Kennedy introduced his followers to his new girlfriend, Alexandra “Ally” Lewber, just a few weeks after confirming his own split from fiancée Raquel Leviss

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

While James and Ally have given fans some insight into their relationship on social media — and he referred to the aspiring astrologer as “the one” in the official Season 10 trailer — the February 8 premiere marked the first time the DJ spoke about his new romance on the show.

Ally and James met at a Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras concert

Shortly after Raquel and James called off their engagement in December 2021, the latter Vanderpump Rules cast member met Ally when he was deejaying a set for Tom Sandoval’s cover band, Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras.

“I met Ally about five or six weeks after Raquel and I broke up,” James said in an interview on the premiere about their fated meeting in January 2022. “A lot of people want to say that’s really soon, but you can’t put a f--king date on love.”

The two went Instagram official in March 2022, and they were already cohabiting when filming commenced on Season 10.

They live together

As the saying goes, “When you know, you know,” and James took that to heart by taking a major step with Ally early on in their relationship.

On the Season 10 premiere, while he was deejaying at the restaurant, SUR matriarch Lisa Vanderpump asked James if he was living with Ally.

“Yeah. I’m not, like, blasting it to the world,” he said. “But yeah.”

When Lisa questioned how quickly James had moved on from his engagement, he got defensive.

“I didn’t jump right back in,” he said. “I mean, Pamela Anderson got married in a day.”

“It’s almost like he can’t be by himself,” Lisa said in an interview of her own. “But I thought he would at least take a break after losing Raquel — he was about to marry her!”

James further justified his decision to move in with Ally in a confessional.

“I’m not even that guy [who] would just get a girlfriend for the f--king bit, like live with a girl,” he said. “Like unless I’m f--king obsessed, you know what I mean? I need that ass in my bed every time I wake up, you know what I’m saying?”

James said that Ally is “the love of [his] life”

When James and Raquel ran into each other at the SUR bathroom, they chatted about the demise of their relationship, James’ decision to begin drinking again, and his romance with Ally.

After Raquel wished James and his girlfriend all “the best,” the DJ shared how serious the two are.

“The love of my life,” James told his ex. “I think so.”

“I mean, that’s what you said about me,” Raquel responded, to which he said, “Things change.”

“I’ve never felt so connected to someone,” James added.

You can see more of James and Ally by tuning in to Season 10.
