James Kennedy is getting praise from one of his most important fans: his dad, Andros Georgiou.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

On the March 29 episode of Vanderpump Rules, James' dad, who has long been involved in the music industry, paid a visit to the DJ at the Los Angeles apartment he shares with girlfriend Ally Lewber.

The music producer, who worked closely with his late former friend, George Michael, shared how proud he is of James' progress.

"You've come on so far from those early days, right?" Andros said after bringing up James' first album, Pump Sessions. James then explained why it's so important for him to get praise from his father.

"Growing up my whole life, my dad was involved in the music industry. He was a big producer, and [he] was always, like, my biggest supporter," James explained in an interview, adding that his dad would be "strict" if he came home late, but he would also encourage him to go out and see a DJ in a club.

In addition to being in support of James' career, Andros is also a big fan of Ally.

"I didn't really see you marrying Raquel [Leviss]. No, not from Day 1," Andros said, before saying that he "can" see the DJ tying the knot with Ally.

"I think it's like chalk and cheese," Andros said about James' "amazing" girlfriend.

Though James and Andros are in a good place now, the Vanderpump Rules cast member had a tough time when his dad and his mom, Jacqueline Georgiou, split up. James referred to their divorce as "really hard" during an episode of Season 4 back in 2016.

Following the separation, Andros moved back to London. He confirmed that his divorce had been finalized when he returned to Los Angeles for a visit on Season 6, which aired in 2018.

"It's the first time he's coming to visit me after the divorce. I definitely had a hard time with it. Honestly, I've missed him so much," James said. "I'm happy that he's here. I'm happy that he's coming to visit."
