Lala Kent Celebrates 4 Years of Sobriety: “You Better Work, Girl”
The Vanderpump Rules cast member received lots of “love [and] support” during her sober “birthday” weekend.
Lala Kent just hit a major milestone in her sobriety journey, and yes, it called for a birthday-style celebration. On October 22, the Vanderpump Rules cast member uploaded some fall-themed Instagram photos with loved ones, sharing her latest accomplishment in the caption.
“Today marks [four] years of sobriety,” she wrote, sharing that the “weekend was full of love [and] support” from her friends and family.
Among those sharing their support were Lala’s mom and brother, who appeared in the first snap, along with her 1-year-old daughter, Ocean, standing in a pumpkin patch. In the second pic, the smiling toddler was holding hands with fellow Vanderpump Rules cast members Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ daughter, Summer, who is about the same age.
“Being present for my daughter… that part is priceless,” Lala added. “I’m grateful [and] extremely humbled by each birthday that passes. But y’all, I am proooooud! Hell yessss, Lala. You better work, girl.”
Before she went to bed, however, she also posted a lighthearted “tribute” to sparkling water on her Instagram Stories. “Thank you for making [four] years of sobriety f**king fantastic,” Lala wrote over a photo of several cans of Perrier water on her nightstand. “Thank you for calming my nerves. Thank you for helping me through tough days. Thank you for helping me get buckwild. I love you.”
On a more serious note, Katie Maloney also applauded Lala in her own Instagram Stories post. Sharing a glam photo montage of her fellow Vanderpump Rules SURver, Katie wrote that she was “so incredibly proud” of her friend. “Love you madly,” she added.
Katie was hardly the only Bravoleb to share in the social media celebration. Among those to flood the comments of Lala’s Instagram post were The Real Housewives of New York City’s Leah McSweeney, The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga, The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gina Kirschenheiter and Meghan King, Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard, and Shahs of Sunset’s Mercedes “MJ” Javid. “This is so amazing Lala!!!! Wahooooo!!!!! You go on with ya bad self,” Meghan commented, while Lindsay added, “Congrats Lala! That is such an accomplishment.”
We’ll second that!
