Here's What Lala Kent Is Sharing About Her Current Relationship Status

Lala Kent is back on the dating scene, and she's sharing how it feels to be out there again following her split from Randall Emmett. The Vanderpump Rules mom revealed in a recent Amazon Live that she went out with someone and then shared what might happen next with the person following their date.

“The last date I went on was a group date, because that’s the only thing I’m comfortable with right now. He was fine, but the PI [private investigator] check didn’t come back so great. Haven’t been on a date since. I’ve been talking to people, but no dates," she said.

Still, Lala noted that she is in a good place given all the big changes in her life as of late: “I am in a good mental place. I feel healthy, happy, independent.”

This isn't the first dating update that Lala has shared with fans. In a previous Amazon Live back in late February, she detailed what happened with a guy she had been out with around that time, as well as just what it's like being single in general. “Yes, I have. I’ve had some dates. I’ve had some texting," she said at the time. "I’m having all the fun in the world with men that are kind and that I’m attracted to and I’m living my best life.”

As for how she's managing dating and being a single mom, well, Lala revealed how she plans to introduce a potential partner to her daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, should it get to that point. "They would have to be extremely special to me. I would have to know they were a great dude, [the] background check would have to come back squeaky clean and I would have to know we are in a relationship. Not a second before," she said. "We would have to be fully committed. I think at least a year. No one’s coming around my kid.”

Right now, Lala's life is all about girl power, and she and Ocean are actually having a pretty big week: On March 15, Ocean turned 1, and you can bet that Lala used the occasion to celebrate her love for her little girl in a sweet Instagram.

"Happy first birthday to you, Ocean. This past year has been the best year of my life. You are the most amazing thing to ever happen to me. You are sweet, determined, independent, curious - a bright light in our lives. You are going to do incredible things in this world, baby. I will always be here to catch you when you fall, carry the weight when it gets too heavy, and protect you with all I have," Lala shared alongside photos and video of her baby. "Being your mama is an honor, O. Happy birthday, baby girl."
