Raquel Leviss Has an Epic "Unengagement Party," Complete with Penis Straws
The Vanderpump Rules cast member reveals a gathering held the same night as the Season 9 reunion, as James Kennedy celebrates a milestone birthday.
There's no question that Part 1 of the Vanderpump Rules two-part Season 9 reunion proved to be an emotional whirlwind for Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy, who announced the news of their breakup during the sit-down after host Andy Cohen noted that something was "afoot" between the couple.
"We've decided to break off the engagement," Raquel told Andy, adding, "It's been something that I've been thinking about for a while and I think that James has noticed that my heart hasn't been fully in it." Both Raquel and James went on to explain reasons for their split at the reunion, which came six months after their engagement and lavish engagement party that was a stunning Season 9 finale moment.
But it appears Raquel has found a way to move forward following the emotional breakup with her ex-fiancé, as she recently took to Instagram to reveal an "unengagement party" held in conjunction with a watch party for the Season 9 reunion.
"Penis straws ftw," Raquel wrote in her January 25 post, including the hashtag "unengagement party" in the caption alongside a picture of her sipping from a drink with a phallic-shaped straw.
As fans may recall, James had previously taken issue with several details of his then-fiancée's bachelorette party planning, which included the aforementioned penis straws, during the December 28 episode. Though James never liked the idea of such straws, Raquel definitely seemed to be enjoying herself during the recent watch party, along with fellow cast member Ariana Madix, as Raquel gave a peek into the gathering on her Instagram Stories.
Recently, James also revealed how he was forging ahead post-breakup by sharing several glimpses into his milestone 30th birthday celebration in Las Vegas.
"Your boy is 30!!! And we’re doing it big today, thankful for everyone in my life," he wrote in the caption of his January 24 Instagram post, adding, "Here’s to the next chapter."
