Over the past two seasons of Real Housewives of Orange County, we've seen Vicki Gunvalson struggle to make things work with her boyfriend, businessman Brooks Ayers. But the roller-coaster romance is no more: Gunvalson has confirmed the two-year on-and-off-again relationship has officially ended.
"I'm single now. We have decided to remain friends but we have decided to move on and date other people," she tells Radar Online.
The couple's relationship woes have been plentiful: Gunvalson's friends and family were opposed to the union since the start, accusing Ayers of chasing the O.G. Housewives star for her fame and money. Gunvalson's daughter Brianna and her husband Ryan have refused to permit Ayers to visit Vicki's home while they're living there, and Ayers was the cause of the infamous showdown between Gunvalson and her pal Tamra Barney at a party hosted by Heather Dubrow.
This season, returning Housewife Lauri Waring Peterson informed Vicki that her beau has been having an affair with a much-younger woman who works in the adult-entertainment industry. But earlier this month, Gunvalson was still standing by her man.
So why the change? "We came to the realization that it was harder to stay together than it was to be apart," Vicki says.
And though Gunvalson recently admitted she has "divorce remorse" about splitting from her husband Donn in 2010, she's on the prowl for a fresh relationship.
"My love tank is empty again," she says. "Do you know anyone that would be good for me to date?"
