Since Vicki Gunvalson’s daughter Briana Culberson and her family, husband Ryan Culberson and sons Troy, who turns 6 in October, and Owen, 4, moved from Orange County to North Carolina, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom and grandma has made it a point to fly out there and visit as much as possible. She revealed on The Daily Dish podcast that the move to North Carolina, where Ryan was born and raised, was partly spurred by the Culbersons' desire to raise their children in the country.

“They bought a beautiful home, brand-new home, on 25 acres, sprawling ranch, with an upstairs that’s ‘Nana’s quarters,’ and they’re happy," Vicki reported. "Although it breaks my heart every day that she’s not here, I have to support her because what had happened was I wasn’t supporting the decision and then she said, ‘Look, Mom, it’s my life,’ and I said, ‘Well, no, Actually, its my life, I gave it to you, so by the way, it’s my life and you’re living in my life,’” she joked. “I could tell she was so adamant about making a big move [to the] East Coast; I still don’t understand it, I love Orange County, but I had to support her and just try to get out there.”

In fact, Vicki had to concede that she saw something positive come out of their move to the South. She said, “I was back at her house a couple weeks ago and Troy said something … and she goes, ‘What’d you say?’ and he goes, ‘Yes,’ and she goes, ‘Yes, ma’am,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh God, you’re starting the Southern thing already;’ she goes, ‘Yes, the boys are gonna know yes, ma’am, no, sir, and very proper.’ So they are raising their kids in the Southern way, which is fine; I just want them to be respectful people.”

Of course, Vicki has made the trek out to North Carolina three times since November and said she was looking forward to Briana coming for a visit in the O.C. Briana’s sons Troy and Owen have their own rooms at Vicki's house, which she said is meant to have children in it. Vicki also admitted she’s holding out hope that this isn’t a permanent move: “If she can commit to come a couple, three times a year and I’ll go to her, we’ll make the best of it until she decides to get her ass back to California."

Still, Vicki's main goal is just to see her children happy. She said, “[At] the end of the day, I need my daughter happy, and if she’s happy out there, breaks my heart but I’m gonna figure out a way to make it work.”

Although we won't see Briana on this season of RHOC, we will see plenty of the other Orange County ladies. Make sure to catch to catch RHOC every Monday at 9/8c and check out a preview of next week's episode, below.
