Vicki Gunvalson Shares a Sweet Update on Her Relationship with Michael Smith
The RHOC alum had a "such a great" night with her beau and some hometown friends.
Vicki Gunvalson is heading into the new year with a seemingly full love tank.
Nearly two years after she began dating Michael Smith, The Real Housewives of Orange County OG took to Instagram to share a quick update on her romantic life. Vicki posted a December 21 Instagram carousel that showed her and her boyfriend enjoying a fun-filled night in Illinois, where she was born and raised. The festive outing was hosted by Vicki’s high school friends and went down at The Club at Wynstone in North Barrington, where guests were treated to an evening of drinks; food; and, of course, a lot of holiday cheer.
“Thank you [Tracy Quinn], [Rob T Quinn], and [Michael Smith] for such a great night,” Vicki captioned the Instagram.

The first photo captured Michael with his arm around Vicki as they posed in front of a gorgeous Christmas tree. The following slides showed off the venue’s beautiful holiday decor, which included life-size nutcracker figurines, wrapped gift boxes, pots of poinsettias, and pre-lit garlands that lined the ceiling.
Other photos featured Vicki smiling with a couple of friends and another that highlighted a massive dining table that was covered with clear glassware.
Vicki Gunvalson says she and her new boyfriend are "zero drama"
Vicki provided the update as she and Michael approach their second anniversary. The two started dating at the beginning of 2022, roughly a year after she split with her ex-fiancé Steve Lodge. Vicki and Michael have since taken huge steps in their relationship, like going on vacations together and meeting each other's families. The biggest and most notable step, however, was Michael’s relocation from Texas to Orange County. The former RHOC cast member spoke about the move during an interview with Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap.
“We’re zero drama, we love each other immensely,” she said during the October 12 episode. “And he just moved into Coto [De Caza]. So he moved into my house, and we’re looking at what are we gonna do now… We’re a really cool couple because we have fun together and he loves me immensely and I just keep saying, ‘Don’t lie to me. Don’t cheat on me. Don’t hurt me.’ He’s like, ‘I got the message.’”
Is Vicki Gunvalson open to another marriage?
Vicki also confirmed that she and Michael have discussed the possibility of marriage, but insists it isn't a requirement.
“We have [talked about marriage]. And then also it’s, like, do we need to be married to be committed?” she explained. “I always feel like the ring helps, you know, but it didn’t help with Steve. He was cheating on me while I had a ring on…”
