Vicki Gunvalson Shares Big News on Her Relationship with Michael Smith
The RHOC alum also revealed if a third marriage is in her future.
Vicki Gunvalson insists she’s in a good place in her life… which is great news for everyone else.
“I’m just happy,” she said during an appearance on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap. “When Vicki’s happy, everybody’s happy.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum largely attributed her joy to Michael Smith, a Texas businessman she began dating in 2022. Vicki told the podcast hosts that she and Michael will celebrate their second anniversary in January, and have continued to take huge steps in their relationship.
“We’re zero drama, we love each other immensely,” she said during the October 12 episode. “And he just moved into Coto [De Caza]. So he moved into my house, and we’re looking at what are we gonna do now.”
Vicki admitted that Michael was slightly hesitant about the move but quickly adapted to the Orange County lifestyle.

“He met some really cool men at the club,” she revealed. “He’s golfing, playing cards at night — so he’s getting into the country club lifestyle, which he’s always been in, but he was living in Texas, and so he lost some connections with some of his guys. He’s got some new friends and it’s easy.”
She continued: “We’re a really cool couple because we have fun together and he loves me immensely and I just keep saying, ‘Don’t lie to me. Don’t cheat on me. Don’t hurt me.’ He’s like, ‘I got the message.’”

Vicki said she and Michael hold similar views when it comes to maintaining committed relationships and strong family ties. The OC mom has apparently become quite close with Michael's adult daughter, Olivia, who is now working at her company, Coto Insurance and Financial Services.
“His daughter works for me now,” Vicki shared. “Yeah, I brought her in as an operations specialist, so she got licensed. She’s doing well. I’m really proud of her. She’s 29 and it’s kinda nice to have someone I can trust in the business.”

So, is a third marriage in Vicki’s future? It’s unclear at this point, but the possibility has been explored.
“We have [talked about marriage]. And then also it’s, like, do we need to be married to be committed?” she explained. “I always feel like the ring helps, you know, but it didn’t help with [her ex-fiancé Steve Lodge]. He was cheating on me while I had a ring on…”
If Vicki ultimately decides to get hitched, she’ll be sure to get her legal ducks in a row.
“I’m a prenup, postnup, nup, nup girl,” she said. “He’s got his money and I got my money, and I don’t feel like we have to ever co-mingle ’cause he’s good. He’s financially very secure. So I wouldn’t get married for any money reason, I would get married for the commitment. It’s much harder to break up when you’re married than it is when you’re just dating, right?”
