What Do Critics Think of Ramona Singer's Pinot?
Two wine connoisseurs sample the RHONY star's goods.
"Crisp and light, with a smooth finish"—that's how the UK's Daily Mail describes Ramona Singer's eponymous Pinot Grigio in a new story on celebrity wines.
The paper's FEMAIL blog tested both Ramona's signature Pinot and her Sangiovese-Merlot blend. The writer described the Sangiovese-Merlot as "bold and fruit-forward" but favored the pinot, offering this warning about it's smoothness, "I had read previously that this Pinot Grigio has a tendency to go down far too easily. I have to say I agree."
The review also gives Ramona bragging rights over former cast mate Bethenny Frankel. Skinnygirl wines were also reviewed in the roundup and scored lower than Ramona's line.
The Real Housewives of New York City star herself has said of the venture, "When I developed Ramona Pinot, it was important to me that this was a smooth wine that could be enjoyed on its own, and we really accomplished that."
