The Daily Dish Life After Bravo

What Ever Happened to Adrienne Gang?

By Marisa Laudadio

Looking back at our shows, we often wonder about the people who've left. Where did they go when their moment in the Bravo spotlight was over? What are they up to now? Each week, we'll be looking into the lives of one of these familiar faces. Today, it's Adrienne Gang from Below Deck.

How to Watch

Fans of the first season of Below Deck remember Adrienne Gang as the professional, demanding first steward who not only feuded with lazy and drunk crew members but found herself at the center of a vegetable and green juice shortage controversy.

A yachting veteran, Adrienne repeatedly and memorably clashed with newbie steward Samantha Orme in particular, yet she was unapologetic. "I think that it can happen in any working environment that you encounter people that just rub you the wrong way," Adrienne blogged on Bravotv.com shortly after her season debuted. "I think Sam is a smart, fun-loving girl, but that she never really took her position as a stew on this yacht very seriously, and I still had a job to do."

After Season 1 ended, Adrienne left the crew of the Honor, the 164-foot yacht featured on the show's Caribbean charters—but she didn't leave yachting. Within two weeks of leaving, she found herself working on a new boat where she was the sole steward.

These days, Adrienne is currently based in South Florida, where she's still doing what she loves most: sailing, running a boat and working as a chef on the high seas. She also loves to share photos and tales of her adventures on social media, which often featuring her and her friends in bikinis and at boating shows.

She briefly returned to Below Deck during Season 2 as a guest star—she was invited by a former charter customer— and drama with another old employee, Kat Held, ensued. Although they eventually made up, with Adrienne hiring Kat to work on one of her crews off-camera, things took a bad turn again after Kat implied that Adrienne is a lesbian.

"It's one thing for Kat to call me 'the devil' when I was the only one in the entire yachting industry willing to hire Kat onto another boat after her horrible professional performance on the first season of the show," Adrienne wrote on Monsters and Critics in October 2014, "but it's another thing entirely to see her go on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and tell the world I'm a lesbian after she was a guest at my engagement party just a few months ago."

Adrienne lashed out last fall. "Fact: Not only did [Kat] know my fiance, she knew the day I got engaged AND she attended my engagement party … KAT WENT WEDDING GOWN SHOPPING WITH ME!" Adrienne wrote.

"Kat said she'd obviously rather do beach parties every day than do another charter with me. Fact: At the time of that interview, KAT WAS WORKING FOR ME on the same yacht we had spent the ENTIRE summer working on together."

Despite the new drama and the loss of her friendship with Kat, Adrienne says she loved being on Below Deck. "I feel lucky that people like and even love the show," she added, "that we poured so much time, effort, and love into."
