Wait, What Happened to Kyle Richards' Character Lindsey Wallace on Halloween?
Kyle Richards reprised her iconic role from the 1978 horror flick for its sequels, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, but did her character survive?
It’s one of the most iconic horror movies ever created: Halloween. Bravo fans know The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards plays an important role in that movie, which follows the masked killer Michael Myers' murderous rampage through a town on the scariest holiday of the year.
The 1978 movie has seen countless remakes and sequels, including the last two parts of the story: Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. But did Kyle’s Lindsey Wallace, who was in the original as an 8-year-old girl as well as the final two movies, survive Michael Myers by the end of it all? Spoilers follow, of course:
What happened to Kyle Richards' Lindsey on Halloween Kills?
Lindsey was one of the two kids Laurie, played by Jamie Lee Curtis, was eventually babysitting in the original film. After living through Myers’ original killing rampage back in 1978, in Halloween Kills, Lindsay is one of his survivors who gathers every Halloween to remember what happened.
Surprisingly, Lindsey lives through the sequel as well.

“I went right to the last page I was on to see if I was dead or alive,” Kyle told Insider about her role in the movie. “I was curious if this was just going to be a cameo, so I was really happy to have a significant enough role to really sink my teeth into and be able to show that I’m really an actor and this is what I do.”
Although she lived, Lindsey still had many harrowing encounters with Myers in Halloween Kills, including when he hunts her down at a playground. Although he killed Marion, played by Nancy Stephens, Lindsey was able to escape by hiding from Myers next to a body of water before he gave up searching and left.
Kyle admitted she put a lot more thought into her character’s backstory this time around than she did when she was 8 years old. She even decided her character needed to wear a nose ring in the sequel.
“I was thinking about my character after all these years of being terrorized by Michael Myers,” Kyle said to Insider. “I really had to think about who this person is, and who does she grow into as an adult after what she’s gone through. She never left Haddonfield. I mean, what is wrong with this woman? Why didn’t she get the hell out? But, she’s bonded with these people in this small town and I felt she had to have some edge to her.”
Kyle even changed up her look to appear in Halloween Kills. In September 2019 she debuted a new haircut with bangs: a throwback to her hair style when she appeared as a child in Halloween.
Did Kyle Richards' Lindsey survive Halloween Ends?
We learned more about adult Lindsey in Halloween Ends, as she was a bartender at a spot Curtis’ Laurie visits.
This film is set four years after the killing spree in Halloween Kills, with Myers once again returning for a murderous rampage. Kyle got such positive feedback from fans for her role in Halloween Kills that filmmakers rewrote the script to include her in the franchise’s conclusion, according to Variety.
Kyle told Andy Cohen during the RHOBH Season 11 reunion how honored she was to be in the movie.
“It’s been unbelievable reprising this role all these years later,” Kyle said. “Working with Jamie Lee Curtis again. It’s been amazing just to be part of this film. It means so much to so many people.”
Kyle said her main role in Halloween Ends was to support Curtis’ Laurie. That included spending time with Laurie and Laurie’s granddaughter Allyson, played by Andi Matichak.
“As my character, I want to be there to be more nurturing to them, because I felt like they’re the ones who needed that right now,” Kyle told SyFy. “That’s why I took more of a maternal approach with Allyson.”
Kyle was grateful to have scenes with Curtis in this film as well.
“It felt really great to be there with Jamie, finally, because we didn’t have a scene together in Halloween Kills,” she told Syfy.
Although the horror movie odds were against her, Lindsey survived in Halloween Ends as well.
“Lindsey and Laurie are the original survivors of this and you know, it’s only fitting that all these years later we’re here together,” Kyle said on her Instagram on Sept. 19, 2022. “And just seeing how not only Kyle and Jamie’s relationship has evolved over these years, but, Lindsey’s and Laurie’s, it’s just, we’re in a very unique position. I mean, how many people can say, ‘Oh we played these characters in 1978 and now this is our third film together?’”
