This Is Exactly When This Is Us Fans Will Learn How Jack Pearson Died

Finally, we'll have some answers.

The This Is Us Cast Preview Season 2

If you're wondering how This Is Us character Jack Pearson dies, you're not alone. (Duh.) The topic has been a hotly debated one among TV fans for more than a year and the show's January 23 episode fired up all kinds of theories. (Darn Crock-Pot!

To make things just a tad more suspenseful, the show will not air next Tuesday, January 30. But, football fans and This Is Us loyalists alike should save the date for Super Bowl Sunday, when the cause of Jack's death will finally, at long last, be revealed.

In an NBC promo for the upcoming episode of This Is Us, a narrator promised: "All of your questions will be answered." And though we're looking forward to some resolution, we're also steeling ourselves for a night of ugly cries.

Milo Ventimiglia, who plays the ill-fated character, recently told Entertainment Weekly: "[Jack's death is] just an absolute soul-crushing event. Once you figure out the moment where it’s going to happen, you may get some hope — and then it’s all going to go away. I think the best thing I can say — or the worst thing I can say — is: It’s going to be f---ing painful.”

Can you imagine if your football team loses, too? Gird yourselves, people!
