Which #SouthernCharm Pal Has Offered to Babysit Kathryn's Tots?
Get the exclusive details on baby No. 2 from the mom, as well as what's on her baby shower registry.
With Kathryn C. Dennis expecting her second child, it might be time for her to start compiling a list of potential babysitters. And when The Daily Dish chatted with the Southern Charm star, she revealed who in the crew has offered up his or her services. "Well Craig has actually offered, and seems to be kind of into the whole baby fever thing," she said. "He's the only one who's really brought it up."
With this being her second pregnancy, Kathryn has been taking additional steps to get ready for her new baby's December due date. "I do feel more prepared just in the sense that I kind of know what to expect and how to prepare my registry and my baby shower and all those things involving preparation I guess," she said. "I guess since I’ve done it once, I don’t have too many anxieties about this one." And that means she's already rounding up some of the items she wants most. "More or less, little novelty items," she explained. "Whenever I planned the first time I was so set on getting all the basics that I would read about. You sit on the computer for hours when you're pregnant and you research and you're like, 'I have to have X, Y, and Z.' And then you end up overlooking the cute little sterling silver bells that have special little things written on them." While baby clothes are cute, they aren't exactly practical. "You know [Kensington] grows out of clothes so quickly that's one thing I kind of wish I hadn't spent so much time searching for, thinking I was going to spend a lot money on," she explained. "Because really what comes in handy isn't clothes; she grows too quickly."
Kathryn also couldn't help but gush about how perfect a place Charleston is to raise her growing family with Thomas Ravenel. "There are a lot of activities around to do, not only for your children, but there are always other children around as well," she said. "People are always outside and they’re very friendly and willing to extend an invitation, or invite you to have a play date with their children. It’s very open. There’s like a little museum downtown that we used to go to a lot, and that’s where I'd meet a lot of other mothers. It just feels like you have a family everywhere you go in Charleston."
