Which 'Top Chef' Is Running the NYC Marathon?
One star is jogging in the name of charity.
How far will Top Chef All-Stars winner Richard Blais go to fight childhood obesity? Exactly 26.2 miles.
On November 3, the Top Chef will hit the streets to run the New York City Marathon. The money Richard raises will benefit the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a non-profit focused on ending childhood obesity.
The experienced author and restaurateur is no newbie to the marathon game either, having completed the NYC Marathon in 2011. And last year, Richard was one of thousands of disappointed runners affected by the marathon's cancellation when Mayor Bloomberg called the race off in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
Earlier this year after running a half marathon, the Culinary Institute of America grad tweeted about his post-race diet—cheeseburgers.
Send your well wishes to Richard in the comments!
