The #RHOA alum was "honored to be the chosen one" at this weekend's event.
It was a night of celebrities, politics, and laughs during the 2016 White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday, April 30, and NeNe Leakes had a front-row seat to it all.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum attended the annual media-filled event as a guest of The Washington Blade along with author and former TV host Melissa Harris-Perry.

NeNe thanked those who have supported her — and even those who haven't — for helping her receive the honor. "As a little girl [I] dreamed! As a woman, I made dreams come true!" she wrote on Instagram. "Thank you for the love and the hate because it has simply made me GREAT #WHCD Honored to be the chosen one."
NeNe also met up with her fellow former Celebrity Apprentice contestant Omarosa at the WHCD.
She also showed a lot of love to The Washington Blade during the weekend's festivities for choosing her and Melissa to accompany the publication at the event for their work as "prominent LGBT allies," according to an article announcing their attendance last week.
