Look who’s “taking a shot at adulting.”
That's what the cast members of Bravo’s The Valley are up to, per the juicy trailer for the Vanderpump Rules spin-off featuring Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute.
Also in the intriguing ensemble is Janet Caperna, who’s been friends with the trio of Vanderpump Rules alums for many years. Along with her husband, Jason, an accomplished attorney, Janet has made the leap to the Valley.
We’ll get to know more about this area north of Los Angeles when the series debuts in the spring.
Until then, here’s what you need to know about Janet, who’s juggling multiple responsibilities, including motherhood. Adulting, indeed!
Who is Janet Caperna?
Janet Caperna is a new cast member on The Valley, with ties to several Vanderpump Rules castmates.
A former executive assistant, Janet also used to co-host Scheananigans with Scheana Shay podcast. Janet used the platform to get real and talk about anything and everything: fractured friendships, work, dating, you name it.
In fact, Janet always talks the talk. She did the same in April 2023 when was a guest on the podcast Sex, Love, and What Else Matters with Kristen Doute. Janet spoke candidly about getting divorced and how she tied the knot with Jason.
“I had the huge wedding the first time with like a 300-something guest list,” Janet said. “With Jason … I was like, 'We can go to the courthouse. We can do like a little backyard thing, whatever.'"
Because of unforeseen circumstances the couple ended up at “this place in the Valley … with a big neon sign that says samedaymedaymarriage.com. Suddenly Jason and I are there and we’re like, ‘Here’s 180 bucks, please take our money,'" she revealed.
Right now, Janet is taking a break from her career to focus on being a mom, according to her The Valley bio.

“What. A. Month.” That’s how she marveled at her child in an Instagram post accompanied by a series of adorable photos of her and Jason basking in baby glow.
“Baby Caperna coming this Thanksgiving!” she posted on Insta in late November, alongside an alternately glam and cute shot of her and Jason. We can't wait to learn more about her journey into motherhood when The Valley airs!
The cast of The Valley includes these five couples: Jax and Brittany; Kristen and Luke Broderick; Danny and Nia Book; and Jesse and Michelle Lally; Jasmine Goode and Zack Wickham join the group as friends.
