6 Things to Know About Imposters' Parker Young
Get to know #Imposters' resident heart throb.
Things are heating up on Imposters, and we're not just talking about Parker Young's shower scene. Bravo's newest series is playing up the drama with a sexy twist. Things aren't always what they seem, so let's go behind the camera and get to know Parker a little more:
1. Anyone Order Pizza?
Before being cast on Imposters, Parker had a few bit parts in the late 2000s. In an interview with The Daily Dish, the actor revealed his first gig as a Chippendale's dancer, even sporting a bowtie, for an unaired XM Radio commerical. Parker said it was shot on his birthday and they paid him $50, which he said he spent all in one night. He next appeared on NBC's longest running soap opera, Days of Our Lives, where he was cast as a delivery man. We're sure he got a bigger tip this time around.
2. He's Been Shirtless Ever Since
Parker's longest role so far came a few years later on ABC's Suburgatory, when he played a not-so-smart jock type and love interest to the main character. Parker was pined over in the series and was always revealing what was under his shirt. On his Instagram, he is often showing off his chiseled physique either on vacation or in past acting roles. In an exclusive interview, Parker revealed he played football in high school but had to stop due to a "handful of concussions." Perhaps he drew on his experiences from the field to make it really convincing.
3. He Had a Secret on Set
Maybe you noticed in Imposters that Parker cocks a shotgun with one arm or subtly covers up his left hand in some scenes. Well, Parker was trying to hide an injury he aquired before shooting that left his left thumb in a brace. The actor, while on a roadtrip in Canada, accidentally severed his tendon with a knife and it coiled back into his wrist.
4. He's Got a Case of Puppy Love
Parker is seriously in love...with his dog, Stella! The pooch can be seen all over the actor's Instagram. He even likes to put pink bows in her hair.
5. He's an Actor That Cares
Much like his Imposters co-star, Rob Heaps (who plays Ezra Bloom), giving back is contagious for Parker, who participated in the St. Jude's Life Time triathlon in Miami to raise money for childhood cancer. The big-hearted actor was honoring Chloe, a child who beat a rare brain tumor.
6. Catch Him Outside
Parker is an avid outdoorsman, and he isn't afraid to show some love to nature. It seems like the actor might enjoy venturing to the mountains over being on set as shown with his shots of his hike in the Grand Canyon, skiing in Whistler, British Columbia or paddling downstream in his neck of the woods in Sequoia, California.
Don't forget to tune into Imposters Tuesdays at 10/9c.
