Here's Why Andy Cohen Decided Against Having Twins
Leave it to Nene Leakes to get the Watch What Happens Live host to share why he made this deliberate choice.
It's been a big week for Andy Cohen: He welcomed his first child, son Benjamin Allen Cohen, via surrogate on Monday, February 4! Beaming with pride in a photo, Andy, who originally announced he was becoming a father during a special Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen special in December, expressed how thrilled he was to be a dad in an Instagram caption. "WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen. He is 9 lbs 2 ounces !! 20 inches !! Born at 6:35 pm, PT He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow," he wrote.
Ahead of baby Benjamin's birth, Andy revealed on a special episode of Radio Andy, Andy's Baby Shower that he had a very good reason for deciding to have one child instead of twins during a conversation with bestie John Mayer and The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Nene Leakes.
"Andy, I'm surprised: Why did [you not] choose twins?" Nene asked.
"I thought about it a lot and I just decided I would rather get really good at having one kid and then see if I could have another one," he explained. "It seemed like a little too much for me."
Well, the WWHL host will definitely have his hands full with Benjamin — but luckily he has tons of support from his fellow Bravolebs and celeb friends.
