This Is Why Erika Girardi Competes as Her Erika Jayne Alter Ego on Dancing with the Stars
"Erika Jayne belongs in the ballroom," the #RHOBH songstress explained on #WWHL.
We noticed something very interesting when the Season 24 cast of Dancing with the Stars was announced. Once we got over the initial excitement of seeing Erika Jayne's name among the celebrity lineup (who are we kidding; we're always going to be excited about it), we realized that Erika would be competing under her club hit queen alter ego, Erika Jayne, and not her usual moniker, Erika Girardi.
Erika explained the name choice during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show Tuesday night. "Because Erika Jayne belongs in the ballroom," she told Andy Cohen. "She's glitz, glamour, and over-the-top, so there you have it."
Just watch her debut DWTS dance, and tell us you don't see 100 percent Erika Jayne up on that stage. Who else but The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills songstress could pull off that skintight costume, those sultry dance moves to her latest single "XXPEN$IVE," and that grand entrance atop a majestic white unicorn? No one, that's who.
Erika told E! News in advance of her DWTS debut that we would be seeing "all Erika Jayne" this season as she performs with professional partner Gleb Savchenko. "Erika Girardi isn't even here," she said. "We left her at home."
