Why Kathy Hilton's Name Was Brought Up on Below Deck Mediterranean
On Episode 13, Captain Sandy Yawn welcomed back repeat charter client, advertising agency co-founder Billy Rodriguez, his fiancé, and six of their closest friends.
The guests requested caviar on board, so Chef Jack Luby decided to get the "best" kind: Beluga caviar. Though Chef Jack wanted to serve the caviar with some homemade pasta for the guests' first lunch of the charter, they had another idea in mind.
"Can we have a little potato?" one of them inquired to chief stew Tumi Mhlongo. The request, it turned out, seemed quite familiar to the Below Deck Down Under alum.
"Kathy Hilton eats it like that, with a whole potato, right?" Tumi responded.
"Yes, that's what I want," the guest added.
Though the guests wanted to emulate Paris Hilton's mom during their first lunch, once they learned that it would take at least 20 minutes to cook them up, they decided to forego the baked potatoes.
Chef Jack wasn't pleased, as he lamented, "It's gonna be the charter that breaks us."
Kathy Hilton's Caviar Baked Potato, Explained
In case you need a refresher, Kathy served baked potatoes when she had her sister, Kyle Richards, over for lunch on RHOBH Season 12.
Kyle questioned whether the simple baked potato was suitable as a lunch entrée, even after Kathy added caviar and sour cream to the starch.
"I'm confused," Kyle said on RHOBH Season 12, Episode 11. "Is this the meal — the entrée — or an appetizer?"
"This is the entree, dear," Kathy replied.
The moment stuck out to Kyle and RHOBH fans alike, and it now lives on in Below Deck Mediterranean.
