You’ll Never Believe Why Lindsay and Mya Were Feuding Before Summer House Season 7

On the February 13 premiere, Mya revealed that they had a disagreement because Lindsay thought Mya “wanted Carl” romantically.

The Summer House Season 7 trailer teased drama between longtime best friend pairs Lindsay Hubbard and Danielle Olivera, and Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke, but there was another feud that dominated on the February 13 premiere

How to Watch

Watch Summer House on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

When Mya Allen arrived at the Hamptons house, she told a few of the ladies that she hadn’t spoken to Lindsay or Carl since the cast filmed an episode of Family Feud together in the winter of 2022.

“Lindsay is mad at me, and she doesn’t want me having a relationship with Carl,” Mya told Amanda Batula, Paige DeSorbo, and Gabby Prescod on the premiere. “She said that I wanted Carl in a sexual way.”

Mya recounted her side of the story, which was that she was “upset to lose” the Family Feud episode with teammates Carl and Lindsay. When Lindsay and Mya were driving back from the set together to the hotel, the latter cast member texted Carl.

“I was like, ‘I just texted Carl, like, ‘LOL, maybe we’ll smoke a [joint],” Mya recalled about what she told Lindsay in the car. “I’ve smoked many a joints with Carl. It was so innocent, because I remember being so caught off guard by the fact that she was like, ‘You did what?!’ That’s when she told me that I was not respectful of their relationship… she also accused me of wanting Carl in a romantic way, which, personally, I’m not that girl.”

The Knead cookie founder was hurt because she had “built a friendship with Carl” the prior summer. “I don’t think I should be penalized for texting a friend,” she added. She also didn’t like when Lindsay texted her soon after to ask if they were “good.”

“You came for my entire life, and then you’re gonna ask me one minute later if we’re good?” Mya wondered. “No, we’re not.”

When Carl and Lindsay arrived in the Hamptons on the premiere, it was the first time Mya had seen either of them since they were in L.A.

She referred to their reunion as “so awkward” and decided to speak with Carl about the matter. During their chat, Carl revealed that he had stopped smoking in favor of being completely sober, which Mya didn’t know.

“I was told that it’s not appropriate to speak to you. I’ve never been spoken to in the way that Lindsay spoke to me. She spoke to me like I was not a human. She spoke to me as if I’ve come on to you… We’ve always had a friendship.”

Carl acknowledged that he had “never thought” Mya was trying to pursue him. Mya said the whole thing was “hurtful,” while Carl claimed he didn’t know what was said during the conversation in the car.

Lindsay doubled down on what she told Mya in the car and claimed she was “set[ting] boundaries” in her relationship. In an interview, Lindsay said that Carl was “struggling with his sobriety” before they went to L.A., so she felt protective about Mya’s request to smoke.

“I don’t expect Mya to know exactly what’s happening in my Carl’s life at that point, but I do expect her to have respect enough to ask about it,” Lindsay concluded.

Following the premiere, Lindsay appeared on the February 13 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Host Andy Cohen asked her if she regretted "getting defensive" about Carl and Mya hanging out together.

"No," she said. Fans will have to keep tuning in to find out if Mya and Lindsay will be able to get on the same page.
