Here's Why Vicki Gunvalson Keeps Saying RHOC Is "My Show"
Vicki Gunvalson has been on Real Housewives of Orange County since Season 1.
Vicki Gunvalson is not shy when it comes to her feelings about her role as the OG of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Vicki has been on RHOC since Season 1 debuted in 2006, and has been in the mix ever since, even this current Season 14 when it was confirmed that she would appear as a friend.
And as fans saw in a trailer for the Season 14 reunion (above), Vicki tells newbie Braunwyn Windham-Burke on the couches: "Get her off my show."
Braunwyn counters, "It's not your show."
When Vicki appeared on WWHL on Wednesday (December 19), a fan asked why she felt it was OK for her to make that claim, so she addressed why she feels confident in saying that RHOC is "my show."
"Were [the other women] in my family room 15 years ago with Scott Dunlop, the creator, figuring out how we're going to make a hit show?" she said. "So, sorry, it is my show."
As fans saw in that trailer, during one particularly heated moment, Vicki is seen backstage, saying, “Stop the cameras! This is about my job, my career, and my show that I started 15 years ago!”
Part 1 of the three-part finale aired on December 18. Parts 2 and 3 air Monday, December 23 at 10/9c, and conclude on Thursday, December 26 at 10/9c.
