Will Lady Gaga Perform at the Super Bowl?
Better question: Are you ready for some football, Little Monsters?
There's a new rumor in town that Lady Gaga will take the stage during the Super Bowl halftime show early next year. While a source confirmed to Us Weekly that Mother Monster will perform during the highly-coveted gig, the official word is nothing is official yet. “We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, at this point we do not have a final decision. We’re happy there is so much excitement about the show," a rep for the NFL told Entertainment Weekly.
Still, it would make sense for the Mother Monster to be the pick for the show when it airs in early 2017. She has a buzzy new album, Joanne, due out in October and she's riding high off the album's first single, "Perfect Illusion." Gaga is also back for another season of American Horror Story after taking home a Golden Globe earlier this year for her debut season on the anthology series. Oh, and how could we forget? She also slayed the national anthem during Super Bowl 50 back in February.
Update 9/30/16: Gaga confirmed she will take the stage during the halftime show in 2017.
She also shared the news on Instagram, giving the confirmation a big thumbs up.
