Will Tamra Judge Ever Forgive Vicki Gunvalson?
The #RHOC mom reveals why it was hard for the group to move on at the beginning of this season.
It hasn't been easy for much of the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County to move on from all of the drama with Vicki Gunvalson and the controversy surrounding her ex Brooks Ayers' cancer diagnosis this season. And that's something that seems to have irked one Watch What Happens Live caller during Monday night's episode.
The caller asked Tamra Judge why, if she's a practicing Christian, she hasn't forgiven Vicki for what went down last season. But Tamra said that we all just need to sit tight and stay tuned. "OK, well, we're only two episodes in, so all I can say is keep watching," she told the caller on WWHL. "I do forgive, and I do believe in forgiveness, and we just haven't got there yet."
Tamra explained to The Daily Dish the reason why she and her castmates were so hesitant to forgive Vicki at the beginning of this season of RHOC. "Well with Vicki, when we first started filming, we hadn't seen her in months or even heard from her. I had a few text messages, but they were nothing really talking about the whole 'cancergate' situation," she told The Daily Dish. "We hadn't talked to her other than at the reunion. So it was really time to patch things up and move on."
However, Tamra said Vicki didn't make achieving a resolution easy. "But she was so distant from us, and then she turned around and played victim, like, 'You guys wouldn't talk to me.' It's like, you did something wrong. You need to make the first step. You really do," Tamra explained. "All you have to say is like, 'I'm sorry for involving you, I'm sorry I lied,' because when your friend lies to you about something serious, it starts to make you think like, 'Well, what else is she lying about?' So that's why everyone's like, 'I don't know if I can trust this girl.'"
The preview for next Monday night's episode of RHOC teases a one-on-one between Vicki and Tamra, and it looks like Tamra will continue to be frustrated with how much responsibility the OG is taking in the situation with Brooks. "Vicki doesn't get it at all, and I think she keeps falling back on, 'Well, the only thing I'm guilty of is loving a man that lied to me.' And then the next sentence she'll say, 'Well, I believe him,'" Tamra said. "It's like, I don't really care if he does have cancer or not at this point. Just stick to a story. And you're clearly lying, so I think an apology would be really nice. But Vicki doesn't apologize."
Tamra said she has accepted the fact that she's not going to hear Vicki say "I'm sorry." "I knew that Vicki wouldn't apologize. It's just who she is. She'll give, like, a half-assed apology. 'Oh, I'm sorry if I hurt you...' Are you sorry, or are you sorry you got caught? Which one is it?" she told The Daily Dish. "But you know what? I'm a big enough person that I can forgive, forget, move on. She doesn't want to accept responsibility for her actions, then that's something she has to deal with."
Now that Vicki has a new man in her life, it seems that she has moved on from last season's Brooks drama as well. But is there a chance they could get back together? See what Tamra had to say, below.
