Andy Cohen Gets a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: "I'm So Grateful"
The WWHL host celebrated the incredible honor alongside some fellow Bravolebs.
Major congratulations are in order for Andy Cohen! The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host now officially has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Andy was presented with the five-pointed honor in a ceremony on February 4. Several familiar faces, including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members Garcelle Beauvais and Lisa Rinna, spoke at the unveiling, which marked the 2,711th star on the famous stretch of sidewalk.
“We are so honored to be here on behalf of the 139 Housewives past and present to pay tribute to our friend Andy Cohen,” Lisa said, as the duo went on to list some of Andy’s many accomplishments, including three bestselling books, 13 years of WWHL, and 15 years as the executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise.
Andy’s close friend John Mayer also spoke on the host’s behalf, stating, “[Andy’s] voice on radio, his humor and charm on his nightly late night talk show, and his reality TV dynasty all bring a much-needed ray of sunshine into our lives.”
Also on hand to celebrate the huge accomplishment: Andy’s parents, Evelyn and Lou Cohen, sister Emily, and his son, Ben (who coincidentally turned 3 on the same day).
While accepting the honor, Andy couldn’t resist giving a shout-out to the many Housewives he's worked with over the years. “Thank you Lisa and Garcelle for being here and all the Housewives near and far. Each of you is a star and being in your orbit is the greatest soap opera cosplay a guy could ask for. Without you ladies, I wouldn’t be on the boulevard of dreams today,” he said, later adding, “I’m so grateful to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for deeming me acceptable to live in posterity on this iconic stretch of boulevard.”
