XSCAPE Sisters Are No Longer "in Agreeance" Following Explosive Feud: Here's Where They Stand Today
LaTocha Scott-Bivens and Tamika Scott had said they were "ready to be sisters again" after both made "crazy" accusations against one another on an episode of SWV x XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B.
The acclaimed artists from R&B groups SWV and XSCAPE struggle to see eye to eye as they prepare for their historic concert event, but can things be mended between sisters?
The drama continues for XSCAPE’s real-life sisters LaTocha Scott-Bivens and Tamika Scott on SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B, with signs of trouble first appearing in the series premiere. Dressing room issues and allegations of body-shaming laid the groundwork for sibling rivalry erupting during an explosive fight when Tamika accused LaTocha and her husband, Rocky Bivens, of stealing money from her, allegations that both LaTocha and Rocky firmly denied.
But Episode 5, which aired Sunday, April 2, indicated that peace could be on the horizon. Tamika, citing that the two had avoided discussing the incident (which also included the pair’s mother, Gloria), said they needed to talk about the elephant in the room. LaTocha agreed, saying, “It’s about that time.”
“It’s very important to me to make things right with my sister ‘cause I’m just so ready to be sisters again,” Tamika told producers. “And us not talking for this many weeks is starting to be stressful.”

The women met at Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre, where LaTocha rehearsed her solo music with Rocky nearby. You could feel the tension in the air as Rocky and the sound engineer left the studio, leaving the sisters to hash things out. After exchanging some courteous pleasantries, Tamika told LaTocha that she’d previously made amends with their mother for bringing the fight into her home, as seen in Episode 3.
“What happened? Like, how did we even get here?” asked LaTocha. “’Cause this is crazy.”
Neither LaTocha nor Tamika directly addressed the alleged missing money, though both agreed they said hurtful things that shouldn’t have been said aloud. Both were “in agreeance” that blood is thicker than water, looking back at their past struggles over the years.
“When my sister and I were growing up, and our dad decided to leave, it was just the three of us and we made it through,” said an emotional LaTocha. “My mom knew: As long as we stuck together, we could get over anything. As long as I got my sister, I’m good.”
She added, “Family is everything at the end of the day.”
LaTocha and Tamika capped their meeting by hugging it out, with Tamika saying she would always love and support LaTocha.
Where Kandi Burruss and LaTocha Scott-Bivens Stand After Feud
It seemed bygones could be bygones, though LaTocha continues to be the center of drama with fellow founding XSCAPE members Tameka “Tiny” Harris and, namely, Atlanta Housewife Kandi Burruss. Over the years, Kandi has accused LaTocha’s husband, Rocky, of coming between the singers, who formed the group in Atlanta when they were still teens.
LaTocha, however, claimed the strain started when Kandi allegedly grew jealous of LaTocha getting more singing time on their album.

SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B includes LaTocha’s desire to splinter from the group to pursue her own solo career. She claimed she once tried to go solo in 1998 but blamed Kandi after it didn't go through.
Kandi denied the allegations in a heated Tweet.
In March, LaTocha announced her solo gospel album, The Invitation: A Conversation with God.
“Recording this album was both exhilarating and therapeutic for me,” she wrote on Instagram. “It has given me a sense of freedom – spiritually, emotionally, and physically. This project is my emancipation from years of desiring to freely use my gift without any limitations.”
Whatever harmony there could have been between sisters and amongst XSCAPE was quickly dashed at the end of Episode 5, when Tamika, Tiny, and Kandi confronted LaTocha about texts claiming that Rocky allegedly accepted kickback payments worth tens of thousands of dollars from a promoter… and that LaTocha was allegedly in on it, something both husband and wife both deny.
The feud escalated in the show’s season finale as, against the backdrop of the accusations, LaTocha didn't show up to rehearsals. Her working and traveling separately from the group to be with her entourage called LaTocha’s commitment into question.
Despite putting on an epic performance with SWV, tensions continued until the sisters had a massive blowout backstage, resulting in Tamika shouting, “Where are we as sisters?”
Sadly, it seems LaTocha and Tamika’s blood bonds weren’t enough to weather the storm, as Tamika recently mentioned on the Monday, April 3 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Neither sister has spoken to one another since the SWV/XSCAPE concert.
We’re hoping the ladies can find common ground and a renewed sense of sisterhood in the future.
