Kyle Richards Explains Why There’s Speculation Around Yolanda Foster’s Lyme Disease
“I don’t think that’s something that she’s not used to,” the #RHOBH mom said.
Yolanda Foster's battle with Lyme disease has been a major topic of discussion this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This came to a head during last Tuesday night's episode when Eileen Davidson revealed to the Dutch model that there had been some speculation surrounding her diagnosis, as shown in the above clip.
Kyle Richards explained why there has been some confusion about Yolanda's condition this season during an appearance on Access Hollywood Live Tuesday. "I went to the Lyme disease gala with her in New York, and I learned more about it than we knew during shooting, because really, honestly it was like a mystery that everyone was trying to piece together," Kyle told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover. "It wasn’t just like, does she have it or does she not. She was trying to figure out what was going on, you know, taking out her implants and taking out her fillings and all of these different procedures, flying all over the world.”
Kyle reiterated that she and the rest of the RHOBH cast believe Yolanda does, in fact, have Lyme disease. However, she still doesn't think a moment like the time Lisa Rinna introduced the term "Munchausen Syndrome" into the conversation was the first time Yolanda has experience her health coming into question. “You know, even Yolanda herself has said that she’s been doubted by her own family, so I don’t think that’s something that she’s not used to,” Kyle said during the segment.
Kyle was also shocked to have learned Yolanda's children Bella and Anwar Hadid were also diagnosed with Lyme disease, as she discovered in last week's episode of RHOBH. “The first time I ever heard that was when we were walking in the park, and she said that, and I went, ‘Oh my gosh. I had no idea,’” Kyle said. “It was really strange, and there’s a lot of other people they know that had it. So I don’t know.”
Kyle continued to express sympathy for Yolanda, as she is clearly in poor health. “Honestly, she really does have [Lyme disease]," Kyle said. "We all said from the beginning whatever it is, she’s suffering, whether it’s Lyme disease or something else, she’s suffering.”
But Kyle also acknowledged that Yolanda's condition thankfully seems to be improving these days. “I do know that she seems to be feeling better now. She’s been in Aspen, so that’s good,” Kyle said, referring to Yolanda's recent family vacation to the Colorado ski town over the holidays.
See how all of this unfolds during the rest of the season of RHOBH airing Tuesdays at 9/8c.
