Yolanda Hadid on Lyme Disease Battle: "I Am In It to Win It"
The #RHOBH mom updates fans on her ongoing health struggle.
Yolanda Hadid has spent much of her summer in the great outdoors: hiking, hugging trees, being generally fabulous, and finding equally-fab places to meditate, even if she's still dealing with her Lyme disease battle.
But The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom is also still dealing with her ongoing struggles with Lyme disease. And while she's still seeking recovery, she seems hopeful about her future. "I am seeking, I am striving and I am in it to win it with all of my heart," she said alongside a photo of herself in a hospital bed. She added the hashtags, "#LymeDiseaseAwareness," "#TvamSurgery," "#LastChapter," "#SearchingForACure," and "#RemissionInSight."
Yolanda has always been an open book when it comes to her health struggles. She will chronicle that journey in her upcoming book, Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease, slated for release in 2017. "Once I started to uncover the mystery of chronic Lyme disease and the stigma around it, I felt a strong sense of obligation towards the millions of people suffering from this debilitating disease to share my journey and to be a voice for those who can't be heard," she shared about the book earlier this year. Below, she details more about the release.
