Eileen Davidson Celebrates a Major Soap Milestone

Eileen Davidson has played Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restlesson-and-off for more than 30 years, and believe it or not, there are still some milestones that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress has yet to cross off her list. One of them is coming up this fall as Eileen will appear in the 11,000th episode of Y&R on September 1, PEOPLE reports. 

In the special episode of Y&R, which originally premiered on March 26, 1973, the secret of Phyllis' (Gina Tognoni) affair with her brother-in-law comes out, and Summer (Hunter King) will also do everything she can to make sure Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) is out of her life for good. Characters Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) will also be back for the 11,000th episode. Clearly, Eileen couldn't be more excited to be a part of the CBS soap's momentous occasion.

Y&R took home six Daytime Emmy Awards this year, including one for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Jessica Collins and her portrayal of Avery Bailey Clark. Eileen was nominated for her work as Ashley on Y&R in 2003 and has been nominated twice for her role as Kristen on Days of Our Lives, taking home the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2014.
