Oops! Ariana Grande Got a Painful New Tattoo That Mistakenly Reads “Barbecue Grill” in Japanese
Ariana Grande took it in stride after fans pointed out her tattoo fail: "Still looks tight."
It appears Ariana Grande’s latest tattoo sesh didn’t go exactly as planned. She shared on Instagram this week — in a post since deleted — that she got two characters in Japanese tattooed on her hand. She intended the ink to mean “7 Rings.”
But fans noticed a small problem with the resulting art: Missing critical characters, the tattoo actually spells out “small charcoal grill,” instead of her song title.
According to Entertainment Tonight, alongside the now-deleted photo showing her tattoo, Grande wrote, “This felt super good … jk (everyone thinks this is a fake hand but it’s indeed…. my hand.”
Later, she responded to a fan who called attention to the problem. She tweeted — in a post now also deleted, “Indeed, I left out “つの指” which should have gone in between. It hurt like f--- n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time.”
She also poked fun at herself: “Also…. huge fan of tiny BBQ grills.”
