Bob Saget Opens Up to Al Roker Over Sandwiches: Who From Full House Still Keeps in Touch?
Full House alum Bob Saget spilled the tea in the TODAY kitchen during an appearance on Cold Cuts with Al Roker.
You might be surprised at the information Al Roker is able to tease out of celebs over full bellies in the TODAY kitchen...
In the latest installment of "Cold Cuts" — in which Roker invites celebs to join him for a chat while they teach him how they make their favorite sandwiches — the TODAY weatherman spoke with the Full House legend over a turkey sandwich.
First, it should be said — Saget knows sandwiches. He worked as a deli clerk for six years while in school and his father was an exec in the meat industry, he told the host. (The more you know!) His signature sandwich, which he made alongside Roker, is made with grilled sourdough bread, spread with red pepper aioli and mayo, topped off with roasted turkey, grilled roasted red peppers, Jarlsberg cheese, grilled romaine lettuce, and pickle slices.
While whipping up his creation, he shared some non-edible (but nevertheless juicy) material with Roker, too. Specifically, he revealed that he's still close with most all of his Full House cast mates — "except for like guest stars from 1990" — including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. And he even gives parenting advice to new dad John Stamos.
And what about Lori Loughlin — aka Aunt Becky — who has dominated the news cycle recently for her role in the college-admissions scandal? Well, Saget said he's in the "no-comment world" when it comes to that matter.
Previously on Cold Cuts, Chef Giada de Laurentiis — known for her petite frame as well as for her enormous culinary empire — talked to Roker about haters who say "don't trust a skinny chef." And Lance Bass opened up about a peculiar detail from his boy-band days that still inspires his diet.
