Oops! Eagle-Eyed Game of Thrones Fans Noticed Something... Off
HBO's latest Game of Thrones episode had a teeny problem on set.
The latest much-discussed Game of Thrones episode contained an entirely different kind of spoiler... and it's catching a lot of buzz. Ahem.
It turns out that, while some actors on the Game of Thrones set consume as much as 10,000 calories to get through a typical long day, others clearly require regular jolts of caffeine to power through. And that became all too apparent when eagle-eyed fans spotted something a bit off on the set: Viewers could clearly see a modern to-go coffee cup on a table in Winterfell's Great Hall in a scene featuring Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow (and Daily Mail has the stills ICYMI).
The cup, though blurry, has led some fans on social media to speculate that it's from Starbucks. And that's a bit, you know, of a miss where the continuity editor's role should have come in.
Well, to the Game of Thrones cast, we say this: If you need the joe so bad, you can't keep it out of the shot, at least make sure you know how to make the perfect cup of coffee so it counts! (You're welcome.)
