President Obama Weighs in on the Epidemic of Over-Sharing Instagram Food Photos: "That's Boring" (VIDEO)

Barack Obama has an important message — watch.

By Alesandra Dubin

Sharing — and indeed way over-sharing — food photos on Instagram has reached epidemic proportions. And everyone has an opinion on whether or not that's OK. Gordon Ramsay, who comes down hard on many things, is surprisingly cool with people doing it. Anderson Cooper, for his part, usually takes a hard pass. And now we have an official presidential judgement on the matter — from Barack Obama himself. And there's video proof!

Indeed, Obama created a video for the media company Attn: in which he encourages everyone in America to vote by systematically shooting down common excuses for not voting. And because he's mainly targeting young people, he tries to speak to them in their language. He makes references to things the kids these days can understand. Yes, like Coachella.

Also? Instagram's glut of food pics.

Responding to the excuse that "midterm elections are boring," he said, "Elections aren't boring. You know what's boring? Scrolling through endless photos of your dinner on Instagram — that's boring!"

Sick burn, Mr. President! Hopefully your important message will get through to the kids.
