Teresa Giudice Reveals Her Meal Prep Before a Big Fitness Competition

When Teresa Giudice entered her first bodybuilding competition earlier this year, she wowed her fans with her ripped physique. And The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom has kept the lifestyle going — yes, there's the occasional splurge, especially when it comes to decadent dessert spreads to celebrate family birthdays. But she's all about eating clean when she's training for a particular competition.

When she's training, she told us she's, of course, "working out really really hard and going to the gym every day, doing my cardio." And when it comes to her diet, she makes sure she's "drinking a gallon of water every day" during training.

Beyond that, she told us in the clip above exactly how her diet changes when she's in competition mode. "The most important thing is eating very clean," she told us. "My diet has changed. I even hate the word 'diet' but I can’t eat carbs anymore. Like, I’m an Italian girl, I can’t eat my pasta — I gotta eat good carbs."

So here's her go-to formula: "So what I’m eating now is a protein and a vegetable. Grilled chicken, grilled turkey, grilled cod, grilled flounder. Some of the vegetables I eat are asparagus, green beans. In the morning I have oatmeal; otherwise sometimes I make six egg whites and I make an omelette out of it and I put some kind of vegetable in it."
