Helping Matthew Be Heard

Kandi explains the ups and downs of working with Matthew and Mujjy this week.

A Mess from Day 1

Full transcript after the jump.

This week was one of those weeks where I just couldn't wait to get through it. Because, OK, we had Matthew, who was a pleasure to work with, but then we had "Mujjy," so I thought, we need to write you a whole new song, because clearly you can't handle this other song. It just was a mess from Day 1.

My goodness, she had so many issues and craziness to deal with. Like, she's throwing me off. Matthew on the other hand: he's a great-looking guy, his personality is awesome, and I know girls will love him (because I'm even checking, like, OK he's hot). In my mind, I'm like, okay, how come no one has ever discovered Matthew? He should be out already, he's hot, he's dope. . .until rehearsal day.

And with Mujjy, I just wanted to get through her performance. But she looked pretty. She tried to step it up as best she could on stage, I’ll give her that. Matthew still was way better than Mujjy. Overall, he knows who he is as an artist. I mean, he has all the elements, he just needs more time to get out there and be seen and heard be the world, and that's what The Kandi Factory's here for: we're just going to help him be seen and heard by everybody.

Until next week, people, I hope you tune in. The Kandi Factory: It’s only going to get better, and you never know what you’re gonna get.
