Where Rachel and I Differ
Rodger thinks Rachel's want to move to New York could just be an angle for more closet space.
Most of the time Rachel and I are pretty much on the same page, but in this episode you can really see where we differ.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not the biggest fan of the back and forth from coast to coast either. But sometimes I'm sure Rachel is really just looking for more closet space! Right now we really have to focus on growing our business and, because we are still in essence a family business, at times that means making personal sacrifices. Rachel always gets on me for being the bearer of bad news, but deep down she knows that I'm doing it to protect us. Besides, living in a hotel certainly has its perks. Twenty-four-hour room service anyone?
Watching the episode and seeing the team talk about how Rachel used to pick me up from work back in the day makes me laugh because no matter how far we’ve come, it's a reminder that we really haven't changed all that much.
It's not so much of a stretch to think that the girl who used to wake up at two in the morning to blow dry her hair just to pick up her exhausted boyfriend would go on to open a luxurious blow-dry salon. I like to give Rachel a hard time about her various quirks and obsessions but at the end of the day, those are my favorite things about her.
