Kandi Burruss Isn’t the Only One Tearing up at Andy Cohen’s Surrogacy Advice for Her
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom got all the feels from the new dad — and so did we.
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker recently made the major decision to have a baby via a surrogate, but it turns out The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom had some initial reservations about surrogacy — until a familiar face gave her some crucial advice: Andy Cohen!
“I had made a comment. I said something like, ‘I guess I’m gonna have a baby mama,’” she recalled to Busy Phillipps on Monday as a guest on her talk show Busy Tonight. “And he said to me, ‘Don’t you ever say that because you are the mother," she teared up. "'And to say she’s your baby’s mom is taking away from you.’ It made me feel better.”
She didn't know at that moment that Andy was having a baby by surrogate; she thought she didn't know anyone who had gone through the process before.
"And then when he announced it, he hit me up immediately and said, ‘Now you see why I felt so strongly.’”
Kandi revealed in her blog that surrogacy is the best option for her and Todd to have another baby because of health reasons.
“We did find someone, and right now we are in the process,” Kandi told US Weekly in November. “We have girls. We have two embryos that are still left from when we had Ace [through IVF].”
