Party Bus
Bravotv.com's Assistant Editor selects the top three moments of Episode 13.
Tonight was really a double treat –- Atlanta returned and I finally feel like I've recovered from my holiday cookie withdrawal. Doesn't it seem like it's been way more than two, Atlanta-less weeks? Luckily for us, the girls didn't disappoint. Let's dive into lucky Episode 13.
The No. 3 spot goes to NeNe's interview with Jermaine Dupri. First of all, the juxtaposition of the two is pretty incredible. NeNe is no joke in the height department (especially in heels), so it looks like she's towering over him. Thus NeNe couldn't help but note: "He's mad short. Like he is a little munchkin." I wonder if he's a member of the Lollipop Guild?
After a slow start, NeNe finally breaks through to Jermaine when she plays the Kim Zolciak card. And yes, evidently he has heard of "Tardy for the Party." Who knew? If only NeNe had been able to ask him about Janet, perhaps we would have learned if she likes to get down to 'Tardy for the Party' as well. How amazing would a Janet choreographed routine to one of Kim's songs be? Or better yet, a new Janet single featuring Kim? I smell a hit.
The No. 2 moment this week was Phaedra's "Sip and See." Now like Sheree, I had never heard of such a thing before. However my fellow Bravotv.com editor and genius behind the Haus of Bravo blog, Kim, informed me that this is indeed a real Southern tradition. So thank you, Phaedra, for giving us all a lesson in Southern culture.
Now why was everyone dressed up like movie characters? As Phaedra pointed out, Kim was rocking a major Jessica Rabbit look, but Cynthia definitely had a Holly Golightly vibe about her. It was more like a "Sip and See and Cinema."
In any event, what really brought joy to my soul was seeing Spark St. Jude snapping some candids in the background. I can only imagine all the peach-packed poses she came up with...
And finally we round out this week's episode with the No. 1 moment: Kim's questionable bus behavior. When Kim first sees her bunk and comments to Don Juan that, "This won't even fit my body," I'm fairly certain she started to say "boobs" but changed it to "body" mid-word. Was that just me?
Kim also needs to start correcting her claustrophobia, because poor Sweetie must be getting an eyeful every time she has to hold small bathroom doors open for Kim (as she did previously on the way to Palm Springs). I know they're friends, but watching a friend relieve herself crosses the line just a tad.
And then there was bus driver Danny. There's no way this man had any idea what he was in for when he signed on to drive Kim and Kandi's tour bus. We certainly learned the extent of Kim's love of cigarettes when she informed Danny that, "Between me and you, I'm okay with you drinking if it allows me to smoke." Kim, you may be okay with this, but the police probably aren't. (Side note: How many tickets do you think Kim has talked her way out of?) In any event, I think I was most put off by the fact that he didn't appear very jarred by her suggestion. He seemed on board when she pleaded, "Sir, we must get some liquor, pronto." That must have been some party bus.
However, the best part about this whole scene was by far that comical whistling music that played in the background. Enjoy!
