The Kenya, Walter, and Kandi Connection

Kandi explains how she knows Todd and why Kenya has nothing to worry about.

By Kandi Burruss Tucker

There are only two things I feel the need to address this week based off of what most people tweeted me about.

First is Kenya and Walter. I thought the whole thing with Walter admitting he asked me out was a little awkward. Especially now that he and Todd are cool. I mentioned to Todd that Walter had asked me out before, but I'm sure it’s different for him to hear Walter actually say he was attracted to me. It was weird for me to hear Walter say it because, truth be told, he never asked me out himself. It was always our mutual friend asking me out for him. So I never heard Walter say out of his own mouth that he wanted to take me out. Back story is that one of Walter's best friends and one of my best friends are married to each other. They are always having something at their house, so I have ran into Walter many times over the years. In my mind, him asking me out wasn't anything to talk about, because we never actually went out. It definitely isn't anything for Kenya to worry about. Moving right along…

Second let me address NeNe. I'm not sure why you're bothered by me questioning your motives. You know good and well that you and I have never had the best relationship. You have said crazy things about me on many different occasions. You're not supportive of me or anything I do. If so, you never let me know it. Why would I feel you genuinely want to invite me to your party? And please understand that I wasn't the only one shocked when it was said that you want to uplift other women's success. I was just the only one who said it out loud. How about we just respect the fact that I will never be fake with you? You have your lane and I have mine, which I have been managing successfully for 19 YEARS now. I'm very happy for your accomplishments. I say all the time that I love what you're doing, because I have no problem giving another woman her props. Never have. As a matter of fact I'm always promoting my other female friends, helping their businesses, helping them get jobs, using my platform to help boost theirs, etc. I have never heard of you doing that up until now. Maybe I missed it the times that you have, but I can only go off of what I've seen or heard you do in public. So I'm sorry if I've over looked it. Just know that regardless of if we get along or not, I am always happy for your every accomplishment. I personally think you have changed for the better, and lately you seem to be in a great place and it shows in your personality. Overall, I think we've been getting along as of late and I would hate to start falling out again and start having Twitter beefs... That is sooo something the old NeNe would do, not the sophisticated, accomplished woman you are now. But then again...

Much Love,
Kandi
