Kordell or Confucius? - Ep 14

Bravotv.com's Associate Editor thinks Kordell needs to publish his pearls of wisdom.

By Andrew Herrmann

I have to start here: was anyone else worried about that Harlem Renaissance theme? I was slightly concerned that the lovable hostess who brought us "265 days a year" was going to show up looking something like this. But luckily that was not the case!

In any event, let's suss out this week's best moments, from Kandi's newest music move to yet another failed joint Housewives business venture.

No. 3 - Judge Porsha

Speaking of 265 days a year, Porsha's latest Porsha-ism goes as follows: "Guilty until proven guilty." Let's all take a moment and be glad that Porsha is not working in any legal profession.

I must admit, I find Porsha's mixed up phrases rather endearing. She kind of reminds me of Amelia Bedelia -- well intentioned, just missing the mark sometimes. For example, she'd babysit you and you'd totally mess up the recipe, but you'd have a great laugh about it afterwards and go get ice cream.

Side Note: I'm not sure what Cynthia is "guilty until prove innocent" of exactly. Giving Porsha a little bit of a hard time about not having the meeting at her house? Because we know that she is guilty of that. Maybe that wasn't the right phrase for this occasion.

No. 2 - Prayed Up

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Having conquered the worlds of pop, R&B, and country music, the next frontier for Kandi is... gospel? Yes, and don't worry, she's quite aware that being the host of Kandi Koated Nights and running a dildo enterprise doesn't exactly scream gospel. But then again, who better to shake up your preconceptions?

So Kandi gave us a little taste of her latest song, Prayed Up, and it definitely had a fun, Kandi-Koated edge to it. Forget those old hymns, let's just have Kandi write all the church music from now on! I'm with Kandi's producer, if this song doesn't get people praying, nothing will.

No. 1 - Kordell or Confucius?

I'm obsessed with Kordell's pearls of wisdom. Cynthia, not so much. Some of my favorites from the Harlem Renaissance party include:

"Just try to be steady."

"Everybody's got their piece of the pie, creating a little ruckus every once and a while."

"Why y'all can't act right?"

It seems as if he's bent on becoming the Housewives peacemaker (at least where Porsha's concerned). I wonder if he could bring NeNe and Kim back together? At the very least he should publish a book of witticisms a la Benjamin Franklin.

Next week Cynthia preps for the pageant, but it may not go as smoothly as she had hoped...
