Reading with Cynthia - Ep 2

Bravotv.com's Associate Editor wonders whether The Bailey Agency also teaches people how to read.

By Andrew Herrmann

Did anyone else start singing Crystal Waters' Gypsy Woman when Kim kept talking about how she's homeless? No? Just me then. But seriously look up the song while I share my favorite moments this week.

No. 3 - Who Run the World (Gays)

NeNe continues her Hollywood invasion by participating in the LA Pride Parade, and a more fitting person would be hard to come by. If NeNe had a penny for every time a gay said, "I am very rich, bitch," she could probably retire on her own private island now. So when she gets teary because everyone knows who she is, I kind of wanted to say of course they do, you're on Bravo! These are your people!

She then goes on to expound on how the gays have created everything -- weaves, make up, etc. Clearly the greatest inventors of our day were gay. Forget Ben Franklin, we should really be thanking the gay colonist who did his wigs!

No. 2 - Reading with Cynthia

I could probably watch NeNe talk about Cynthia reading Kenya on loop. She sure knows how to work a good hand motion. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

I thought maybe the Bailey Agency debacle might have been a little hiccup in what could have been at least a cordial relationship. But it would seem Kenya and Cynthia are heading down the express lane to full on confrontation mode. First off, Kenya grabs the mic after Cynthia to give a speech, leading with, "Enough of that clown business..." Clearly she has no problem saying how she feels. Then she goes over to NeNe to give a "Cynthia and I may not be friends, but I hope we can be" speech. Before NeNe can process that and form a response Cynthia swoops in to give Kenya a little read. And as NeNe informed us, we're not talking about books. She went straight for every model's weak spot -- age. I imagine no Miss U.S.A. wants to be asked what year they won. Burn! But at least we did learn a fun fact: Vanessa Williams was the first black Miss U.S.A.

No. 3 - Pee You Later

So Kim and NeNe spoke! Finally. And Joyce didn't even have to force them to do so. However they didn't really say much of anything. I was hoping that maybe this would lead to a possible friendship renaissance (because really it's so much more fun when Kim and NeNe get along), but alas, it doesn't seem to be in the cards. Despite NeNe's insistence that she come upstairs to enjoy the party for a little bit longer, Kim assured her she'd be back after using the ladies' room and then just completely bailed. Ouch!
