Cynthia Shares an Update on The Bailey Wine Cellar Amid Coronavirus
The RHOA business owner gave the status of her wine store on an episode of WWHL.
As people continue to self-isolate to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), many businesses have had to adjust their plans for the safety of their employees and customers. On the April 5 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home, Cynthia Bailey shared an update on her Atlanta wine bar, The Bailey Wine Cellar.
Andy asked The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom if her business is currently closed, and she replied with, “It is. We had to shut down for a couple of weeks while we figure out everything, like everyone else.”
On March 16, The Bailey Wine Cellar released a statement announcing it would be closed until March 19, writing, “Stay safe everyone. Cheers to self care and health.” Then, on March 19, another statement was made, explaining that although it was not necessarily required to shut down, it decided that closing its doors was the safest move to make.
“It’s with great consideration we have decided to suspend all operations until further notice from the CDC,” read the statement. “Despite being in compliance with the Mayor’s requests and guidelines, we still think it prudent to encourage social distancing as we get through the spread of COVID-19. Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe!”
Cynthia gave BravoTV.com an exclusive look at the wine cellar back in September, explaining that it was a long process to get the business up and running. You can see inside the gorgeous bar in the video above.
“It’s been a very long road. Long road, not the wrong road, but the long road, until we got open,” she explained.
