In April, Drew Sidora revealed she had “a whole mommy makeover,” and on the June 5 episode of The Real Housewives Atlanta, her castmates didn’t hold back their thoughts on the matter.

As Kenya Moore and Sanya Richards-Ross discussed Drew’s Drop it with Drew program, Kenya asked, “How are you going to help people lose weight if you had a surgeon cut your stomach off?” Later, the ladies brought their questions directly to Drew, and she was happy to explain why she elected to have certain procedures done.

“I had a lot of health struggles, a lot of diagnoses,” Drew shared. “Yes, I did have a mommy makeover, but it was because I had to. I had so many things going on.”

Still, Shereé Whitfield wasn’t quite clear on why Drew had one specific fat-removal procedure after launching her program. “If you’ve been doing [Drop it with Drew] for a year, and it’s working for everyone else, and you’re helping all of these other people lose weight, why did you have to get lipo?”

“I had a hernia, so I lost weight, but my stomach was protruding,” Drew explained. “You know, when you have a hernia, no matter how hard you work out… I had adenomyosis.”

When Drew initially opened up about her “mommy makeover” in April, she shared more information about the ongoing health issues that led to her decision. “[The show] gave me an opportunity to talk about my diagnosis, which was a form of endometriosis called myosis... I was taking pain medication for these intense cramps,” she told Us Weekly. “I’ve been dealing with that for all these years… And once I went and had that surgery, I was like, well, can we [also] just put everything back where it should be? It was like, ‘Let’s do it while I’m down. Let me just also do something. That’s gonna make me happy.’ And that’s what I did.”
