Kandi Burruss Shows “What #Winning Looks Like” in a Sparkly Sequined Suit
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member dazzled in a glittering pink-and-red two-piece ensemble at the 33rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in NYC.
On May 6, Kandi Burruss graced the 33rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City in the utmost style. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member received an award for her work as a producer on the show Thoughts of a Colored Man, which is Broadway’s first production written, directed, and produced by Black artists — and of course, she looked absolutely fabulous while doing so.
For the special occasion, Kandi donned a sparkly pink-and-red two-piece suit (styled by Jeremy Haynes). The Halpern number included a glittering polka-dot jacket embellished with sequins and draped in a glamorous red satin sash ($2,490) as well as matching polka-dot sequined wide-leg trousers ($1,440). She paired the low-cut, floor-skimming attire with Bebe Strass fuchsia satin Giuseppe Zanotti heels ($1,550) that featured multicolored rhinestones on both the platform and heel.
Of course, Kandi’s glam was just as stunning. Makeup artist George Miguel Arnone gave her bright pink shimmering eyeshadow to match her ensemble. Kandi wore her hair straight and parted down the middle.
In an Instagram from the night, Kandi shared a heartwarming message: “This is what #winning looks like!!!!” she wrote. “Thank you [GLAAD] for a wonderful evening of community!”
One day later, she posted another series of snapshots: “I was on the winning team last night! Thank you [GLAAD] for awarding [Thoughts of a Colored Man] with ‘Outstanding Broadway Production’!”
