Marlo Hampton Wants to Clear Something Up About Those Candles from Her Girls’ Trip
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member shared new details about her room assignment game.
In the video above, Marlo Hampton notes that when it comes to cast trips on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, “It’s a big deal about who gets what room.”
With that in mind, when the group arrived for Marlo’s getaway on the show’s July 17 episode, she had a unique idea for the bedroom selection process. Marlo had several candles, each with a description that corresponded to a specific member of the group. The game: Whoever correctly guessed which candle was directed at which person would be able to choose their room.
After some of the candle descriptions, like “devotion and delusion” and “high hopes and low expectations,” didn’t exactly sit well with the ladies, Marlo wanted to clear something up about the moment. “The candles came like that,” she says in The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 14 After Show clip above, explaining that she didn’t write the descriptions herself.
However, Sanya Richards-Ross isn’t convinced. “But you told them what to write on them,” she alleges, to which Marlo responds, “No... google it!”
Of course, we did just that. The $26 candles are from Design Milk’s Anecdote Candles collection and do, in fact, come with the descriptors that Marlo assigned to each of her castmates (as well as many others). Still, when Marlo came across the collection, she couldn’t help but think about members of the group. “When I saw this, I was like, ‘Oh my god. Sanya. Shereé. Kenya!’” she says, later joking, “They were custom made. [The company was] thinking about [the RHOA cast] when they made them.”
While Marlo felt the game was all in good fun, many of her castmates didn’t share the sentiment. Press play on the video above to see Drew Sidora, Shereé Whitfield, Kenya Moore, and Kandi Burruss’ very strong reactions to the candle situation.
